The morning was in two parts. First, an incredible, and sadly relevant, class in surviving a mass casualty attack taught by Sgt. Spencer Fomby, leader of Berkeley Police Department’s national award-winning Immediate Action Rapid Deployment Team (informally known as SWAT). Then a review of Stop The Bleed, Controlling Life-Threatening Bleeding With Tourniquets and Pressure Bandages, taught by Berkeley CERT’s own Shawn Connors, Bill Springer, Barber Morita and Carrie Dovzak.

You missed it? Oh No!!!

While there is absolutely no substitute for having attended, we can get you partially up to speed.

CERT member Grace Harwood took an awesome set of notes on Sgt. Fomby’s class. Check’m out:  Notes – Survive an Active Shooter Lecture 4-21-18.

And for the Stop The Bleed section, here’s a summary…
